September 8: Remember to attend the mandatory meeting at U-High at 1:15 today. Be sure to dress professionally and wear your ISU ID! See you there!
September 12: Just a reminder that you must use your peer edited copies of your Literacy Autobiography and your own editing to create a self-edited copy. You will turn in that self-edited copy and your brainstorming on the second day of class this week. You must submit your final draft on Blackboard using the Assignments tab before midnight on Friday. Also, we will be using the article "Learning by Design" in class at the beginning of this week. Be sure to print it, read it and bring it to class if you have not already done so.
September 22: Microteaching this week! Your groups will decide who goes in what order. After each person finishes his/her lesson, the rest of the group will write 2 strengths and 2 areas which could be improved. On Monday or Tuesday (depending on your section), you must turn in your self-critique of your lesson. The questions for this are on Blackboard. Be sure to be specific in your comments. Staple the peer-evaluations to your self-critique before you turn it in. Good luck!!
October 3: The sign-up lists for the Literacy Strategy Presentations are on the Wiki! Be sure to choose the list for your class. You may click the Edit button and add your strategy. Then save the page again. No other changes should be made. They are on separate pages, but one is labeled Section 6 and the other is not labeled, but it is Section 7. Be sure that you have read the material on Assessment and Evaluation which we began last week and the new material for this week which covers Thinking and Questioning.
October 15: This is just a reminder that we will be meeting at Milner 6th floor TMC on our first day of class this week. Please print and bring to class the guidelines for the Professional Journal Assignment and the Group Textbook Review. These are found in the Assignments folder on the Content Page of Blackboard. Also, remember to bring the Teacher's Edition of the text you are using if possible. If you do not use one, you may find one to use in the TMC.
